Although it's been hardly over a decade since the first Miss Nepal beauty pageant was held in the country, the number of such title being handed out here has been steadily on the rise. There are pageants that seek to groom and foster ethnic identities and those that seek to enhance the participants' confidence, personalities and overall bearing. Angel 2011, Redefine Yourself is one among these beauty pageants that seeks to groom its participants' personalities.
Hosted by Craft Creations, the final phase of the Angel 2011, audition will be held this Saturday at Siddartha Cottage, Tinkune. The pageant is in its second year, and for the first time, pre-episodes of the contest will be telecast on Kantipur Television. The prospective participants will be chosen by an elite panel of judges: Prabhat Rimal, Prava Amatya and Prashant Tamrakar. Rimal is the Station Manager of Kantipur FM, Amatya will be choreographing the Angel 2011 pageant and Tamrakar is one of the country's top-level choreographer.
The organisers says that the main focus of the pageant is to find self-assured, assertive young women between the ages of 17 and 25 and help them bloom into fully confident individuals. Once the participants have been selected, they will be subjected to a five week training programme which will help them become more confident about their strengths, and also make them aware of possible weaknesses they can readily work on.
The grand finale of Angel 2011, Redefine yourself will be telecast live on Kantipur Television.
