An American filmmaker Erin Galey is making a short film on human trafficking in Nepal. The film which is currently in its shooting phase tries to explore con-artists of the sex industry in India through the lens of a young Nepali girl on a journey from her simple home life in a Himalayan mountain village to the chaos of urban India.
The film features, 13-year-old Bhumila who leaves her village with a new friend Krishna. He guides her through the hauntingly beautiful Himalayas in Kathmandu, where she's promised a job and an education. However, Bhumika quickly learns that the rules of this world are different and she knows nothing about this new world she has entered, and Krishna is playing his own dangerous game. Why can't her happy-go-lucky friend look her in the eye? Why is he detouring her form meeting her new boss? As they close in on the Indian Border, Bhumika tries to unravel Krishna's Plan.
