Sangaalo.com is the latest social site that was officially launched by Princeton Media of October 30.Sangaalo.com provides all features required for a social site.The owner of the website claims that the website meets all networking needs of people from various walks of life-right from finding friends and sharing photos and videos to business exchanges like buying and selling. Users can form online social communities, where they can hangout and discuss business plans and promote shows and events. They can also exhibit their creativity by uploading, sharing and browsing unlimited videos, audios and photos of their interests in various categories.
As soon as viewer register on the site and verify their email, they can enter the "Default" level. After that, user progress to "Smart" and "Advanced" level as per their working activities like buying, selling and managing their own sub networks which increases their points and ultimately helps them move on to advanced categories.
Meropost.com is the another Nepali social site created and launched three months ago by Sunil Chaulagain, founder and CEO of Tuchuk Services Pvt.Ltd, and also a fourth year student of computer engineering at Kantipur Engineering College.Meropost.com is a blend of all social networking sites but with a distinct localized touch.It was begun as an online project of Meroinfo.com which resulted in full-fledged Meropost.com.The site currently has 22,700 users-half of whom are in Nepal and the rest are based in Japan, Korea, Kuwait and US. The site's features include default Nepali font, chat rooms, facility to personalize profile, multiple attachments etc.Meropost.com is currently ranked among 70 most viewed web portals in the country, and also plans to expand its users to more than 100,000 within the next three months.
Meropost.com has strict provision for membership, as users need to submit scanned copies of their identification-either college ID card, citizenship of driving licence to be verified. The company claims to have invested nearly Rs 400,000 into the site since its inception.
